Chapter 12 of Revelation starts by showing us the core spiritual drama at play since the angel announced to Joseph that Jesus who was to be born to Mary would save his people from their sins (Matt 1: 20-21). Satan (the dragon) is cast out of heaven by Jesus paying the price for sin even as the ole devil makes war with the angels to try to stay there. Satan can no longer act like a prosecuting attorney to accuse and demand that Christians pay the price for their sin by going to hell. Why? Because Jesus has paid the price of sin, and his blood has expunged all the record of their sins when they repented and believed in Jesus as their Savior. Satan has no case against those who believe.
